Everest Poker

A poker room with a truly global vision, Everest Poker attracts players from across the world including Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and more. Catering to its international clientele Everest Poker is available in 16 languages. In 2008, Everest replaced Party Poker as the primary endorser for the World Series of Poker (WSOP), firmly establishing itself amongst the top online poker rooms in the industry today.

Everest Poker uses its own proprietary software which is currently available in 16 different languages. The software graphics and design have improved a lot, including a less cluttered lobby and more attractive tables. However, it still lacks the aesthetic finesse found in the software at other sites like Cake Poker or Poker Stars. Players will appreciate useful features like lobby filters, resizable tables with adjustable resolutions, player notes and details, advanced stats functions, multi-lingual chat, and resizable tables for multi-tabling. Newbies will also appreciate the Beginners Tutorial feature and can practice their game in Everest Poker’s Training Room.

Tournaments at Everest are regularly scheduled, offer plenty of variety, and are heavily trafficked. Players have access to plenty of MTT’s, SNG’s, Freerolls, $1 Buy Ins, lots of guarantees, and satellites to major live events like APT and EPT. There are also lots of country-specific tournaments and promotional offers. Both Single and MTT tourneys are good value with prizes ranging from $1000-$5000, with their Sunday $100,000 guarantee event being their largest.

At the moment only Texas Holdem and Omaha are available. However, strong rumors suggest they are working on plans to add Seven Card Stud in the near future. Despite their limited game offerings, the tables are surprisingly busy at all hours with traffic increasing daily. During peak hours you’ll find over 7,000 ring-game and 16,000 tournament players (May 2009) crowding the tables. As usual, action is heavily concentrated at the Holdem tables, with peak hours occurring between 16:00 to 22:00 GMT.

Games at Everest Poker are definitely on the juicy side, with some of the loosest games are to be found at the medium to high limits. Don’t be scared off by the surprisingly aggressive game play at times, as the skill level more often than not doesn’t match the level of aggression. This poker room can definitely be a profitable one for the more skilled players.

Customer support at Everest Poker is currently limited to email only. However, the support is available 24/7 in all 16 languages supported by the software. Inquiries are usually handled with very quickly, with short response times and detailed informative answers. It would be nice to see Everest eventually add at least one “instant” option, be it live-chat or phone support.
